Undertow
Performed at the University of Washington for the Dance Majors Concert 2018.
In this world of heavy frustration and pressure to return to the surface this piece explores the experience of arriving into a nostalgic state and what happens when we get stuck there. This work also examines the parallel formation of sea glass and the nostalgia it holds in its final state. A big thank you to my incredible dancers and to the beautiful sea glass work made by my collaborating artists Jim Nelson and Eric Kolbe.
